CTP Insurance is compulsory third party (CTP) insurance that covers you for personal injury that you cause to others as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident in your vehicle, CTP insurance protects you from claims that can be made by a person that you, or the driver of your vehicle, may have injured on the road. We know how devastating accidents can be – that’s why we’ve made the claims process as easy as we can.

Who can make a CTP Insurance claim?
The CTP system in Queensland is fault-based. This means that you can claim against the insurance of the vehicle that was at fault, whether you were a driver, motorcyclist, passenger, pillion passenger, pedestrian or a cyclist.
You cannot make a CTP claim if you were the driver of the vehicle at fault. If, however, you are covered by an NRMA CTP Insurance, then our At-fault driver cover allows you to claim for certain serious injuries. Under 25 year old drivers are excluded from this cover, for further exclusions refer to the At-Fault Driver Cover policy booklet.
